Voice Description

My natural talking voice is middle-ranged and can sometimes sound like it's coming through my nasal cavity. However, I can make it sound high-pitched and annoying, or I can go deep and soothing. I can also sound like a child with a high, playful voice. I am also a singer and have often been told that my voice is deep and sensual as well as smooth and soothing. There have been other times when I have been asked to record an offical voicemail because I can sound matter-of-fact and professional. I have a very contagious, boisterous laugh that, surprisingly, is not found annoying. And although I grew up in California, I can speak with a very convincing southern and english accent.

My Voice Experience

My Training

I have been involved in musicals with both singing and speaking parts since I was around five years of age. I have been in school choirs since the fourth grade and have also been in church choirs since the 7th grade. In high school, I was cast in a monologue show with a solo and was also in a play later that year. I was also involved in the audition-only chamber choir of Brookfield Central High School in Brookfield, WI. My father is a Minister of Music, so I have had a large handful of opportunities in small ensembles and solos. I was involved in the National Fine Arts Festival of the Assemblies of God for six years in a row with Human Video Group, Small Drama Group, Large Drama Group, Choir, Vocal Solo, Small Vocal Ensemble, Large Vocal Ensemble, Worship Team and Song-Writing. In the more recent years, I have played keyboard and been a background singer for the worship band, Worth Dying For based out of Calvary Temple Worship Center in Modesto, CA., who has recently been added to Integrity Labels and have led my own worship team for our church's College Group. I have also led worship for our high school youth group and two nights of our youth camp held at Spirit West Coast in Moneterey, CA., with a camp of about 500 students.
