My Voice Experience
I began doing voice overs in 1988 after starting in theatre in 1982. The range of work I have done is enormous. Some examples would be the voice-on-video of Saraman from 'Lord Of The Rings' where the director said to me, "I had no production until you brought the perfect delivery for this spot". Then there's hours and hours of technical training and educational tapes for India where good elocution is essential. I did a great Voice-on-Video as a psychology professor for local Channel 11 (NBC/WATL) for the NCAA basketball playoffs. I have done VO's in the Scottish and Australian accents. I am very excited to be in V 123 where the range is limitless.
My Training
I have a GED certificate.
I was in theatre in Atlanta from 1982 to 2008. In that time I performed in 60-70 productions. I was 18 years with the Atlanta Shakespeare Company. In one play called "The Woman In Black" (which has been running in London for 18 years) I played 7 different characters.
I have taken many classes and seminars here in Atlanta, mostly at Creative Studios of Atlanta. They tell me now that I should be teaching these classes.
I have also been hired as a dialect coach for plays and taught the English accent in drama classes.
My Studio Equipment
audio-technica AT3035 microphone
M-AUDIO Fast-Track Recording Interface
Cool-Edit Pro Software
Additional Skills
I think it is worth mentioning that I am TAG certified (Teleprompter), also, I am ear-prompter qualified and in fact there is a video in my demos for UGA Psychology Dept. for which I used an ear-prompter.
