My Voice Experience
I am a classically trained actress and have been working in theatre, film, commercials, voiceover and dance for over ten years. Also worked with Ken Rohts Orphean Circus, where I performed in Growing With Ghosts and The Peace Squad Goes 99... at the Evidence Room. Directed and performed in Tony Kushners A Bright Room Called Day, which garnered "Critics Pick" in LA Weekly and Backstage West and "Top Ten" on reviewer Dink ONeills list of great theatre in Backstage West. And am also co-director of Nest Arts, a dance theatre production company which produces new original theatre, dance and film works. I have performed with numberous companies including Johannes Wieland, Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Son of Semele Ensemble, International City Theatre, Nest Arts, Rudy Perez Dance Ensemble, Valley Shakespeare Festival, and Orphean Circus. I am a member of the Classical Theatre Lab and Son of Semele Ensemble, and recently played Nellie Bly in a film installation that will premiere at the grand opening of The Newseum in the fall of 2007 in Washington D.C.
My Training
Originally trained in classical theatre at Santa Clara University and Shakespeare Santa Cruz where I studied voice and diction with Aldo Billingslea and Ursula Meyer. After moving to Los Angeles I began working with renowned linklater voice coach, Natsuko Ohama, from Shakespeare and Co. as well as clown/Shakespeare text with Lisa Wolpe, also from Shakespeare and Co.
