My Voice Experience
I had always been told that I have a great voice (speaking and singing) for radio and have been used by radio professionals in commercials, jingles, and business (digital product) presentations. I also produced a radio talkshow for years. In addition I studied classical voice (singing) in college and sing in many styles including Classical, Standards, Jazz, Urban/R&B and have performed onstage in various clubs and venues. I have a BA in Journalism.
My Training
I studied classical voice in college - The University of Alabama- 1991 to 1993 and sing in many styles including Classical, Standards, Jazz, Urban/R&B. I also took public speaking classes and acquired a degree in Journalism 1993 which trained me to interview and to be interviewed. I have worked as a newspaper reporter 1993-1994, a radio talkshow personality 1993-1994 and radio talkshow producer 1994-1997. While working in radio, I recorded several commercial ads, jingles, and poltical ads for various clients for airplay and co-hosted radio shows.
