My Voice Experience
My acting experiences have been much like a rollercoaster - there are a lot of ups and downs but it's always a great time! I started acting for the theater in college and my ride took me to Vancouver, the Groundlings, and voice over schools in Irvine and Burbank! I have always had a passion for anime and video games but found out that while I was learning to do voice over for many genres, I love them all and can't wait to delve in to everything from anime to commercials to narration! One of my first experiences outside of the classroom was working as a narrator for a corporate newsreel video. We were under a time constraint and recorded using a video camera with a microphone in a spare office and the system we designed with the limited resources and time we had made the project a lot of fun to work for. On the opposite end of the scale, I recorded a Disney promo trailer in a sound booth with one of the directors working at the booth with me and the other director on Skype from her hotel in Hawaii! Voice over is one area that is always changing and each job has the potential to be something you've never experienced before.

Additional Skills
I love animation and anime and video games and have loved those fields since I was a kid. It's been very exciting to see comic books being made into movies and the surge of popularity of anime and general nerd culture because that is where I have a great deal of knowledge and love. As someone with a degree in Applied Mathematics, I have a definite scientific side that fell in love with the sci-fi genre but my love of performing pushed me into trying out acting and falling head over heels for all of the performing arts. I am lucky that my technical side allows me to succeed in the technical side of voice over, including knowledge of scientific terms and concepts as well as the more required skills of editing auditions.
