El número de la bestia es un programa que toma como base conceptual el género musical conocido como “heavy metal”, recorriendo sus influencias e influenciados, tratando de hacerlo en una forma amena, graciosa pero también teñida de una fuerte carga cultural.
Todo esto hace que “El número de la bestia” llegue tanto a amantes del género como a no tan gustosos oyentes de este estilo. De esta manera el programa ha logrado desmitificar el preconcepto muy arraigado en la gente de que solo se trata de “ruido”, desconociendo la fuerte influencia de la música clásica, el blues, el rock sinfónico progresivo y demás estilos que han dejado una huella indeleble entre los músicos más fuertes de este género.
