My Voice Experience
I have been performing since I was eleven, but I began my voice-acting career in October 2008. Since then, I have narrated over eightteen audio book titles, specializing in (but not limited to) young adult fiction. I have given voice to dragons, Amish girls, troublesome bullies, lovesick teenagers, biblical legends, and dog-crazy middle-schoolers. I am the voice for the Dragon Keeper series by Donita K. Paul and the Rachel Yoder series by Wanda E. Brunstetter. I also interned at NPR, where I wrote, produced and narrated a four minute feature as well as worked on the Web site.
My Training
I have been acting in local and amateur productions since I was 11. I performed onstage while earning my BA at Middlebury College and I starred in several productions while studying abroad at Oxford University. I have taken college-level courses in acting, playwriting, the creative process and theatrical history. I majored in English Literature, specializing in Shakespearean drama. I have also interned at National Public Radio in Washington, DC where I worked on the web site, wrote and narrated a four-minute feature, and learned basic sound-editing skills.
