Voice Description

Until recently I've kept my ability for voice talent under wraps. However after years of prodding from others and having a unique ability to keep children entertained when reading to them as well as being hired for my professional voice I felt this was the next natural step. I think gaining talent through years of life experiences even necessity gives me a unique edge and maybe something that would be considered out of the box. I have heard more than enough manufactured or stiff voice talent in my life to know that's not what I want to hear when I'm a consumer or just a listener. Children especially are sharp enough to know when you're patronizing them with a voice or really believe yourself to be the character. It's time to shake off the stale methods of voice over workers and bring in a natural and fresh approach.

My Voice Experience

Most of my experience has come through being a teacher, a mother, a receptionist and having worked the office of a talent agency. Although it may not appear to be what would "wow" you at first They have all required me to be a character of one type or another and I have adapted to each one in stellar form. I grew up in a large family and getting noticed required unique talents. Mine and my brothers was the ability to do characters or mimic. You must be able to use the instrument that is your voice in any situation in order for it to work and I have done that and then some.

My Training

Most of my training as I've stated above is life but I spent a large portion of my youth participating in theater and that gave me an edge without a doubt in all aspects of personal and professional use of my voice.
