My Voice Experience

Currently I am doing voice over for a local cable company doing real estate ads. In the past, I participated in improvisation and taught creative dramatics to 2nd and 3rd graders. Most of my career years have been talking, selling and handling emotional situations all over the telelphone so I had to get my point across well with my voice. Being sincere and understanding was key and I was told I was very good at it.I developed good, solid, positive relationships with people over the phone. I can automatically interject funny snipits into a serious situations to relax people. I can make people laugh easily. I am very businesss oriented and enjoy business conversations and would understand and project well in any business situation.

My Training

Graduated from Washington State University in Speech with an emphasis on public speaking and creative dramatics. Did improvisation, taught creative dramatics, participated in debate. In the past, I have been involved in musical performances, mainly singing with a group. Have participated in performing skits for different groups in the past.
I am currently enrolled in a local voice over class taught by a local voice over expert.

Additional Skills

I have a very strong drive to do many forms of voice over work. I have always wanted to do animation, but also to do radio and television ads I'm also extremely interested in business training video narration.
Currently I am about to become president of a phianthropic organization which involves conducting monthly meetings. I have always been involved in talking in front of groups. I have always considered the act of talking in front of a group as the act of selling something to them and that is how I approch it. My career was selling over the telephone and that is what a lot of successful voice over is with the knowledge of how to be most effective to sell the target audience. That covers most voice over except animation which is pure pleasure!!
