Voice Description
My natural voice is knowledgeable, informative and authoritative, while at the same time friendly and fun.
I am versatile. I can provide long-form as well as short-form narration, depending on your needs. I can also tailor my delivery depending on the format of the program or recording, the tone and style of the host, and the demographic of the audience. For example, Ive done a number of marathon satellite radio interviews to promote books and other products. In the course of a four- or five-hour session, I can shift from light and breezy (for a morning zoo-type show), to mannered and professional (for an NPR-type show), to informative yet schmooze-y (for a newstalk-style show)... all within a moment's time.

My Voice Experience
Since 2008 I have hosted and executive produced TV Confidential (www.tvconfidential.net), a two-hour radio talk show about television that is heard weekly on several stations. I book, research and pre-interview guests; write opens, throws, and other on-air copy; conduct interviews live on the air; pre-record and edit segments in MP3 format for future broadcast; prepare air checks of product reviews in MP3 format; and write, record and edit ads and promotional announcements pertaining to the show.
From 2006 to 2008, I was a writer, producer and fill-in host on Talking Television with Dave White (Share-a-Vision Radio, San Francisco Bay Area), a 90-minute radio call-in show. I wrote, produced and hosted full-length programs; booked, researched and pre-interviewed guests; wrote opens, throws, and other on-air copy; pre-recorded and edited segments in MP3 format for future broadcast; and prepared air checks of product reviews in MP3 format.
Also in 2006, I was the "voice" of New England Journal, a weekly radio magazine heard Sundays on WAIC-FM (Springfield, MA). I recorded and performed intros announcing guests and topics, as well as bumpers leading in and out of each segment.
In addition, since 1995 Ive been a regular guest on The Ronn Owens Program (KGO-AM, San Francisco), a top-rated daily news/talk show. I appear on the Owens show about three times a year to talk about television in general.
From 2002 to 2006, I was the TV correspondent for The Tony Gill Show (American International Radio, Springfield, MA), a top-rated afternoon drive show heard throughout the New England media market. I appeared on the show once a month to discuss television in general.
From 2001 to 2002, I was the Classic TV Guru for The Tony Trupiano Show (TalkAmerica Radio Network), a nationally syndicated late night radio talk show, from 2001 to 2002. I appeared once a month to discuss classic television, including news and information on popular cable channels such as TV Land, as well a regular feature called Where Are They Now?
My Training
I have a B.A. in English and Drama, but Ive learned mostly by listening and by doing. Ive appeared on over 200 radio and TV programs since 1993, as well as done spokesperson work for companies such as Columbia House Video Library. I have developed a good sense of the rhythm, style and cadence of radio broadcasts and podcasting. At the same time, I enjoy learning and am always eager to expand my skills and hone my craft.

Additional Skills
I am also an accomplished freelance writer/journalist with a wide range of marketing and communications skills, and extensive experience in ghostwriting and collaboration. I work with publishers, agents, and individual authors and companies in a variety of capacities, including book manuscripts, book proposals, film treatments, speech writing, script writing, press releases, media coaching, media talking points, radio copy, web content, strategic planning, product development, and other marketing materials. I help clients express their ideas and achieve their goals in the most effective way possible.
My radio experience also extends behind the scenes. Besides appearing as an on air guest on over 200 programs since 1993, I work with radio producers and on-air hosts, both locally and nationally, in scripting and planning shows, as well as writing copy and developing talking points and other content for use on their programs.
