Voice Description
I am at the high end of the baritone range. My natural voice is warm and rich. However, I can pitch it to sound many years both younger and older, depending on the need. I can sound the epitome of relaxed and laid back, or nervous and overwrought. Happy, sad, excited, bored, young, old, severe, kinky... I can either do it already or am willing to try my hand at it.

My Voice Experience
Most recently I was employed by MBS Radio in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I was an employee of the News Department, where I compiled, edited, and voiced newscasts for multiple markets around the Maritime provinces. Prior to that, I was the sole Copywriter for the two Halifax MBS properties, FX101.9 and 89.9 Hal-FM. In that capacity, I also voiced easily half to three quarters of the commercials I wrote.
Before that, I was a student at Columbia Academy in Vancouver. I completed the Broadcast/Performing Arts program with top marks.
My Training
- MBS Radio, Halifax, NS: News Department. As News Announcer, I compiled, edited, and voiced newscasts for numerous markets throughout the maritimes.
- MBS Radio, Halifax, NS: Copywriter. As copywriter, strictly speaking, I was responsible for writing all the commercial scripts which went to air. However, I typically wound up voicing the majority of commercials I wrote.
- Columbia Academy, Vancouver: Broadcasting and Performing Arts program.
- Confederation Centre of the Arts, Charlottetown, PEI: Front of House Department. Dealt with pre-show setup of lobby, theatres, and outdoor venues. Occasionally read pre-show announcements; was the English-speaking voice of the automated phone system for the entire system one year.
- I also studied music for years, in the form of vocal training and three years worth of one on one guitar lessons. I have been an amateur writer, of one form or another, for basically my entire life.
