My Voice Experience
I imagine I have voiced more than 20,000 radio commercials over my 25 year career, and perhaps 5000 TV ads. I have been the station voice of TV stations (KREQ/Eureka, CA; KHQ and KREM/Spokane, WA; KTVQ/Billings, MT; etc. And the "Voice of God" at radio stations KKXX/Bakersfield, CA; KVXO/Spokane, WA; numerous Montana stations and am presently Program Director and Morning Show host at KKBR/Billings, MT. I know a "radio voice" is often not what is sought in today's VO market, but a quick listen to my demo will show that a radio voice is not what you'll get. (Unless thats what you want.) :)
My Training
My first audition was when I was 12 years old and for a man who owned a local radio station. He turned out to be my harshest critic because he was my father! Since then I have been very successful in small and medium markets throughout the U.S. primarily as "Mister Announcer", but also as "Everyman" and as a character on occasion.

Additional Skills
Most of my experience has been through cold, hard copy. The director sends a script, I voice it. They listen to it, love it and offer no direction because I did better than their highest hopes. There have been only rare occasions when I have had actual, live direction, but during those sessions, I shine. Its wonderful what can happen when a producer/director and talent unite in the same chord to produce something better than what was conceptualized in each's mind before the session.
