My Voice Experience

I am first and foremost a radio announcer with over 37 years in the business. I have worked a number of different formats from Rock to Country, I spent 17 years on the West coast and a number of those years working in Los Angeles with national clients. I have done voiceover work as well as on camera for movies and television. My experience also includes guest speaking at conventions and trade shows and doing voice presentations for the United States Army. My voice has been used for a number of different clients including auto, insurance, home improvement, travel,sports,etc. I have done quite a number of voice over radio and tv spots, training videos, radio programs, video games.

Some of my clients are: Cavendar Toyota, North Park Lincoln, Ft Sam Houston, Home Tips Radio, Fishing Tips Radio, Travel Tips Radio, Purina, ARS, ABC Pest Control.

My Training

I knew at a very young age that I wanted to use my voice and began my broadcast career at the age of 16 before graduating high school. After high school I attended East Texas State University which is now Texas A&M Commerce and majored in broadcasting. Although I have some college experience I found most of my experience by working hands on with training and working with professionals. I have produced as well as done talent work myself. I even owned my own production company on the West coast for a number of years and produced nationally syndicated shows as well as promoting concert shows.

With my experience of not only being the talent but being a producer as well, I know what a client is looking for. I believe in professionalism. I deliver what is asked of me on time and on the mark. I'm an experienced professional who believes in high quality work that sounds great everytime. Generally I can record a 60 second spot the first time without having to redo the spot over and over. I can read the script and know what speed and annunciations to use, the type of voice - serious, happy, sad, determine, cautious, etc.
