My Voice Experience

I am a spoken word poet, an actress and a writer. I have acted in the past and performed spoken word poetry for a plethora of groups, shows and production companies. I am currently a member of a production group called Entertaining Angels Productions. We put on performances within the genres of poetry, drama and singing. I am also an accomplished spoken word poet. This type of poetry has a cadence to it that is rhythmical and lyrical. In the past 6 years I have been a part of two award-winning poetry companies: Poetic Voices and N'Jozi Poets. I have also won three separate poetry slam competitions.

I have done commercial voiceovers for my own businesses: buffalohosts and Positive Nation Productions. All of my businesses are based in Buffalo, New York. Most recently I recorded a radio commercial for buffalohosts in March of 2008, and a television commercial voiceover in February of 2008 for a Heinz Ketchup commercial that Positive Nation productions produces for a commercial contest entry.

My Training

I earned my bachelors of arts in communication in 1999 from State university of New York College at New Paltz. More recently, I earned my Masters of Science in Multi-Disciplinary Studies with a concentration in Public Relations Management in May of 2006 from Buffalo State College.

I have performed in various performing arts groups and I am familiar with the creative and subtle nuances of voiceover work.

I am able to fully record, edit and produce short films.

I have a background in journalism and public relations writing.

My Studio Equipment

I am able to fully record, edit and produce voiceovers. I have a home studio. In my studio I have a macintosh computer as well as a windows-based computer. My mac has all the equipment I need to record voiceovers. I have several recording programs and editing programs. I am able to export completed voiceovers into quicktime files so that they are easily emailable, and downloadable.

Additional Skills

I am easy to work with, very professional, and I aim to please. In my mind the client is always right and i will do what it takes to make sure you are 110% happy with your voiceover. I will always be timely and communicate with you in regards to deadlines. For longer projects, I will always send progress reports and allow you to be involved as much or as little as you want. I am a professional, so what you receive from me will be a professional product that you can use anywhere.
