My Voice Experience

I was the primary AVO for Qwest Telecommunications for all their TV and radio commercials for 1.5 years. In addition to the primary :30 and :60 scripts, I recorded literally hundreds of retail tags for all their markets - I can match my voice seamlessly to the take selected, thereby making the session for the retail tags smooth and easy. Because I am an excellent actor, I take direction beautifully and am able to deliver exactly the kind of read the client is looking for. Clients I have recorded for include Target, CSX Railroad, Land O Lakes, Qwest, Culver’s Restaurants, LifeTime Fitness, Tom Thumb Stores, Star Tribune Newspaper, Palace Casino, Adelphia Cable and Movie Booty.

My Training

BA in theater and media arts. Campus radio DJ, classes in writing for radio. Minored in voice - tenor. Lead roles in many musicals. For the next ten years, I worked as an art director in advertising agencies, where I created dozens of TV commercials, often supplying the VO myself. Then became a professional actor. Upon signing with a commercial agent, I became a VO artist, and to date have recorded dozens of VO projects ranging from industrial videos to national TV and radio commercials. Because I am a professional singer/actor, I have an excellent command of my instrument and am able to deliver a wide range of voices and acting styles.

I play piano, have an excellent tenor voice. I work in musical theater professionally. I also freelance as an art director in advertising, so I understand exactly how VO sessions run, from the client side, to the VO talent side.
