My Voice Experience

I have been a singer for the past 40 years, singing as a soloist with most of America's leading symphony orchestras with conductors such as Leonard Bernstein. I also sang on 100s of television shows and some three hundred recordings.

I have been doing voice-overs for 40+ years. My first work was in Hollywood, where I joined both AFTRA and SAG in 1964. I performed as voice talent and/or singing talent in more than 400 film and TV projects.

For some 10 years I performed radio interview broadcasts and created an NPR-like program of special interest subjects for a community college.

I narrated or performed character voices for several video games including Atari's (now Midway) Gauntlet.

Additionally I have done "source" music and voice work for a variety of television series, including The Simpsons.

My Training

My degrees include a BM in music education and an MM in vocal performance from the University of Southern California.

I also taught at several southern California colleges including Occidental, California State University at Northridge, and the University of Southern California.

For over 30 years I was a baritone soloist with nearly every American and European orchestra performing on five continents. Conductors included Leonard Bernstein, Zejii Ozawa, Zubin Mehta, and Eugene Ormandy.

My best training, however, was walking into a studio and having to create a product within two or three takes. I love that challenge!

Additional Skills

I have given talks and motivational speeches to groups of 20 to 2000 in size. I'm very comfortable in front of people and love to "feel" the room and make fine adjustments to my content based on the audiences' response.

I've conducted choirs all my life and love the co-creative interaction with them which leads to a real time product we can all share. In general, I love people, and enjoy building solid relationships whether it's in some phase of the "biz" or on a golf course (which is probably where you'll catch me on my cell phone).
