My Voice Experience
My voice and speaking experience goes back to when i first learned to talk, but doesn't everyones. I have been a public speaker from an early age ... church lecturn.. school mc.. and dj work...
the real experience started in the eary 80's as i started my radio career in 83 and continued working in the business until 1989. doing live broadcasts of sporting, news and cultural events as well as standard radio duties .. voicing spots, writing and producing air shifts and newscasts in small and mid market radio stations in Canada.
Masters of Ceremonies positions and freelance voice work in southern British Columbia, were tandemed with Mobile disc jockey work throughout the 1990's.
In the 80's and early 90's was host and reporter for Ironman Canada Tri athlon coverage on community television and freelanced reports for radio.
My experience in live sport event calls include play by play of motor racing and hockey games.
My Training
My training has been mostly school of hard knocks. However I have done sales training courses and have learned the power of the voice on decision making.
Learning by doing was the mantra for my first employer who was a former BBC radio host and stringer from Kenya, he mentored me on the use of the voice as a weapon of information sharing and action.
