My voice has a deep, assertive, commanding and rugged tone thats fit for movie trailers, narrarations, audiobooks, radio, commericials and/or video games. and have done all different formats such as country, rock, hip hop, oldies, classic rock, adult contemporary, etc...so my voice naturally switched during each format for whatever particular station I was doing....I'm 34 and new to this business but have done animated voices, commericials, dialogues, and differnt variations of the nws, traffic reports and differnt genres of music

My radio name is the quadfather due to my quadriplegic status....My license plate says KRZY KRPL...if that gives you any insight to what kind of personality I have....Besides my radio demos and the 3 documentaries on you tube.. I have had articles and write ups in magazines and newspapers regarding my passion to help encouurage and motivate others.... due to my positve oulook on life....and how I still make my like normal..I date, I drive, I go into public places with my head held high, I try to push myself to overcome any obstacle....for example...I went out to a club for the first time last month with my girlfriend and they had a mechanical bull there...so naturally I wanted to ride it but everyone thought I was full of it...until I convinced the owner to let me...and the bouncers picked me up and placed me on the bull...I fell off in seconds, then i asked to go back on it....they let me.........and I fell again....I looked up at the boncers and said "One more time..."".....I am and was the first quadriplegic to ride a mechanical bull......Its things like this that I try to use as converstional pieces....I have a fun loving personality and I know that I will be a great asset for any company.... A company whos willing to take a chance on a guy who will give them 150% all the time...

My Voice Experience

I'm 34 and new to this business....I became a quadriplegic 4 years ago fromm diving in shallow water and for what Ive overcome, and how I went back to school and relearned everything over again..I KNOW my calling is to use my voice to motivate and inspire other people abled and disabled people to never give up....I'm very determined and a driven individual thats looking for someone to give me a chance in the business..At school I've done voices at the school for an old lady, young boy, country-hillbilly dad, a guyanese store clerk, a pirate for a cruise commercial, Ive done a few differnt commercials for the great escape, local events,etc.... I really specialize and am passionate to use my normal voice for movie tailers, radio broaadcast, commercials, narrations, audioboos, or video games

My Training

Im a recent graduate of the New School of Radio/Television in Albany Newyork..Specializing in radio broadcast...commericials,voice over work,narrations,etc....
Internship with 98.3 WTRY "John and Jaime show"...oldies/greatest hits station.....where I was on live radio.....
Because of my injury and what I've overcame,learned and relearned about life I did a few different short documentaries....On you tube..."The Doug Bartling Story" will give you a better insight into my life...who I am, and how driven I am to become a success in this business..
I've been on the "Waking up with the Wolf show" on pyx 106.5....A Huge classic rock station in Albany....
I have a couple different radio demos that I've done...

I've also been a peer mentor and motivational speaker to other spinal cord injurers, 3rd-8th graders, and also have done a few college classes...

Additional Skills

As I've said before I'm interested in applying for a position in radio broadcasting. I've recently completed the certificate program at the New School of Radio and now would like to pursue a career in the radio business. I am a dedicated and passionate individual, adaptable to all situations and willing to accept any task required for a start in this exciting field. I am knowledgeable about radio broadcasting, utilizing adobe audition, operating the board, researching the news and how demographics affect the industry.

Four years ago, I had a diving accident resulting in a spinal cord injury. I utilize a manual wheelchair for transportation. I am able to complete all tasks required and drive my own vehicle. Before attending the New School, I was in college and got my associates degree in Applied Sciences. Specializing in the human service field, so I’m qualified to work in any position that involves interaction with people.. I am able and willing to discuss my injury when it can help others. I am an honest, hardworking individual and would very much like a chance to work within your company if just given the chance...
