My Voice Experience

I've worked as a Announcer and Production Manager for radio stations in the Northeast for over 20 years, most recently at the Citadel Radio cluster in Providence, RI (WPRO-AM/FM, Lite Rock-105). Currently I specialize in commercial radio and TV, radio station image voice, on-hold and phone greetings, internet, podcast, and multi-media voice-overs.

My Training

Started in college radio at the University of Rhode Island. After graduating in 1981, began working part-time at local radio stations. Eventually did morning-shows in RI, NH, and NJ. Preferring the production end of radio, I worked mainly in that area until I began freelancing in 2002.

My Studio Equipment

I use Logic recording/editing software on an Apple iMac. I use either an AKG C 414 B mike for big jobs (broadcast) or an Audio Technica AT2020 for jobs requiring quality at low bandwidth (such as internet audio or podcasts).

Additional Skills

Macintosh ProTools, GarageBand, QuickTime, iTunes, PhotoShop; copywriting/editing; basic music production. Very AppleScript, UNIX, HTML, CSS, RSS experienced.
