Voice Description

I can take on the "doctor" or other type of expert voice in a deep, soft tone for commercial copy. I can use a flirtatious tone a la Kim Catrall. One of my specialties is the New York Italian "Sopranos" type accent. I also do cartoon voice, however, and can raise the timbre high into the childlike range when creating a cartoon character. I also have a particular affinity for spoken poetry and literature. My gift for mimicry has been evident since I was a child, and in improv performance have been known to create a multitide of foreign and regional American accents.

My Training

I have trained in voiceover work with Drew Birns and am in the process of assembling a workable demo. I studied acting for two years at the Atlantic Theater Company here in New York City. I also studied improvisational theater with members of the Committee (San Francisco) when they created the National Improvisational Theater here in Manhattan.
