i think because i started in this field after a lifetime singing on commercials, i've best been described as a chameleon. i'm a great mimic. for so many years, having been asked to sing like anyone from cheryl crow to jennifer lopez to ella, i learned quickly that being able to sound like others, i can book a lot more. great ear, great work... from breathy "ditz" to smooth and sexy, to just being "ultra real". i've been booked on spots as different ethnicities, or just me: warm, reassuring, funny, friendly, approachable, natural.

My Voice Experience

i have been singing on commercials since the age of five. all through that, i did vo's here and there whenever asked. never really took it seriously until i became a successful casting director, primarily for vo's. it became apparent when i was giving line readings to my actors, that my clients started really encouraging me to actively do this. i don't advertise it to actors who i cast - and even coach - because it's hard to think that it's not a conflict of interest, and that i may be "delegitimizing" myself as a casting director and/or coach. it's becuause of the successful actors out there that i'm a coach today. they asked me to coach, so here i am. loving it. so, keep it on the qt, will ya? oh. list of jobs... quite a few... baskin-robbins, continental airlines, lean cuisine, blockbuster, various promos for books, maybelline...right now i am the voice of amex.

life. went to nyu, new school for music. but basically, singing on commercials since i was a kid, acting on commercials, and then becoming a casting director and a coach. work brings experience.

skills... i have written music and copy for commercials. i've been known to give "spot on" line readings as a coach and casting director for voice-overs. i have produced for commercials, and i produce reels or "minutes" for voice-over actors (most of whom are my students) in a state-of-the-art recording studio right here in nyc, where i cast, and where we record thousands of commercials each and every year.
