My Voice Experience
Dora Lanier has 13 years of experience as an actor and theatrical artist. She has performed in over 100 plays including Rita in Educating Rita, Shirley in Shirley Valentine, Mistress Quickly in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Mrs. Frank in The Diary of Anne Frank. As a Voiceover talent she has credits ranging from The Flying Mouse for WHA WI Public Radio, a determined settler for The Montana Prairie Museum exhibit, a worried mother for Her Interactive's "The Curse of Blackmoor Manor" and Eva Person for WNYC for NPR. In June 2005 she will be appearing as Maddie in Toronto Mississippi for The Merc Playhouse in Twisp, Washington. An active member of several improv troupes, Dora has played along with It's a Mystery in Seattle, Capital City Mystery Players in Austin, Texas and the Gender Bender Project in Madison, Wisconsin. Since receiving her MFA in 1992 Dora has been pleased to teach acting, voice and movement at The University of Texas, UW Madison, The Unviersity of Montana, Missoula, Western Washington University and Antioch College.
