I am originally from the west coast of the United states so my natural inflections are relatively pure english, but I have lived in Texas now for over 10 years and can do a southern drawl as good as a native Texan.

My Training

I have a Bachelor of Science degree in music from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. This is a performance degree and most of my early training was in vocal performance. I have a strong background as a singer who can sing most male parts from bass to second tenor so my range is roughly 2 1/2 octaves. In my speaking voice this gives me the ability to cover a wide range of styles. In avocational terms I am heavily involved in video production at my church both as a tech director and I am in charge of mixing the audio for video which includes a full 8-12 piece band, a 40-50 voice choir, and 6-8 solo/bgv vocalists. I have a strong knowledge of audio production in both live and studio settings and I have my own home studio.

My Studio Equipment

In my studio I own a sure 58 (as if you could not get by without this one) and a Rode NT2-A for high end condenser recordings. I find that the Rode gives me nearly identical sound to the AKG 414's at a fraction of the price, but if you require it I do have access to a 414. I premix all my analog signals thru my Mackie mixer and import them to my software via my M-audio firewire 410. My primary recording software is Logic, but I have also dabbled in Garageband and ProTools. I am also a keyboard player/song writer so I have a Kurzweil PC88mx controller. I chose this unit for its pristine sampled sounds that still hold up today nearly 15 years after I purchased it.

Additional Skills

As I hinted at in the last section I am a songwriter and I have experience writing top 40 style music. I can also provide loop based originals and can design a song with the feel that you need for your project.

I am a VERY detail oriented perfectionist who is intent on delivering the highest quality product possible within the time constraints (within reason) that my clients need. My method of paying my bills till now has been in the construction field and as a contractor I have always taken pride in delivering my services on time and on budget. I also have experience in retail management so I take great pride making sure that my customers are happy with the service that I provide them.
