My Voice Experience

Over 30 years'experience of teaching French to all age groups, from 11 year olds to adults.
Over the same period of time, active participation in and chairing of countless meetings in and out of educational extablishments, both in the UK and abroad.
Active involvement in Trade Union movement (NASUWT)at every level, from school representative to County Negotiating Secretary and Local Association President for 4 years running. This obviously meant having to chair meetings, address large numbers of people, speak at County Council meetings etc.
Participation in professional recordings for French listening examinations for over 20 years, earning the nickname "The Voice" in local schools and Examination Boards. The scripts included a wide variety of contexts,range and styles, from narratives to station announcements, news broadcasts, supermarket promotions etc.
Conducting guided tours of my native Brittany for visiting UK tourists.
Whichever capacity I have spoken in,either in French or English, people have always made favourable comments about my voice.

My Training

Completed my degree (English major +Spanish & Fench)at Brest University (France)in 1971 (Mention Bien = 2.1)
First became Head of Modern Languages Department in 1980, then went on to become Head of Faculty in larger establishments.
Attended numerous teaching courses with specific emphasis on voice delivery, projection, accent, as well as drama courses focusing on use of drama in the teaching of foreign languages.
