Voice Description

My voice for singing is within the tenor range and this is, of course reflected in speech. I am a trained singer which is great for adding colour and variation in tone, dramatic input and strength to my speaking voice. My timing, particularly comic, is good and I can bridge the gap betwen music and speech. When I sing, I make a point of warming the audience up with a well crafted quip before I start a performance. I can put conviction in my voice by stepping into a full belief of the part I am playing, be it in presenation, character or otherwise.

My belief is that the secret tool in all performance related to sound of any type is, paradoxically, silence. On a bed of silence, anything is possible.

I am new to voice-over recording. The clues to my skill are found in my singing and presentation ability wherein dramatic timing and colour variation are evident.

My Training

I have had excellent voice training with a leading music therapist. My qualifications are in Psychology Architecture .

Through lecturing/tutoring philosophy to students fresh to the subject, I have developed the skill to communicate convincingly with people of all types at the same time without sounding patronising to some and complex to others.

Additional Skills

I am experienced as a singer having worked in both classical and less formal media. Through working in Architecture, I have developed the skill of communicating effectively with associates in other locations through lengthy telephone conversations.

I have done a little bit of stage acting and worked well with other people as well as developed my projection skills.
