Voice Description

My voice is attention getting and very easy to recognize. It is most often received as friendly, welcoming, sometimes edgy with a little sarcasm and often very funny. I am able to articulate clearly and able to emit a breathy, sexy tone. It is very natural and easy for me to read to children and to use character voices to suit the speaker. I was raised in an Italian home and my accent is authentic, my language skills rudimentary. My Italian teacher commented on my accent and pronounciation for its believability. The most surprising quality is that my voice is so memorable, always recognized.

My Voice Experience

It all started in 1st grade when I was Mother Goose and corrected every mistake or filled in every silence the other characters left. I simply knew what to say and how to say it right. I haven't changed a bit. I have given graduation speechs; instructions to students; panel discussions on education, discoursed on spirituality; tour guides; presented local shows, etc etc. My primary career was in medicine as a technologist, however I was always the one to address the business community, the stroke support group, visiting physicians and interdepartmental meetings. I just love it just do it well. Check out my demo

My Training

My batchelor degree in Allied Health included classes in public speaking My professor asked if I was a professional speaker. I attended class with Dan Levine (Such A Voice) for voice-over training and I am comfortable recording or reading scripts and/or stories. I have written most of the material that I have delivered and have had good success with interpreting others' writing.

My skills revolve around understanding people and what they need. I am experienced at resolving conflict , introducing humor and deflecting fear. My co workers have always depended on me to script and deliver difficult messages and to do the same with good news.
All of my speaking jobs were done in addition to my career in the heath industry. It is my ability to express others' concerns and give credence to their feelings that introduced me to this wonderfully exciting career.
