My Voice Experience

I have recorded a 15 episode Audio-Drama, "Babylon, Wisconsin" as one of the main characters. I also co-hosted a podcast for almost a year entitled: Avoiding People with Don and MJ. I've auditioned for several different projects ranging from commercials to video games to narrations.

My Training

I've done goofy voices and mimicked characters since I can remember, but all of my voice training was done at Columbia College Chicago. I spent two years there studying radio broadcasting and voice acting. I attained a B.A. in radio broadcasting from Columbia, and participated in the different projects listed above. I've also taken several public speaking courses and had improv training at IO Chicago.

My Studio Equipment

I have Adobe Audition on my home computer for Audio Editing and work with several microphones, ProTools and Cool Edit as well at my job.

Additional Skills

I mentioned above that I've had improv training. I feel it's been very beneficial to all my performing because it has made me more comfortable with changing deliveries and characters quickly and easily. Also, I've taken several public speaking classes so I'm very comfortable speaking in front of groups. I've also never had anyone express problems working with me and I feel that I'm very capable of getting along with anyone. And I like to think I bring a creative flair to anything I do.
