Voice Description

I have a friendly, warm and comfortable voice with very clear pronunciation and a neutral accent that has been described as neither completely American nor completely Canadian.
I can be formal and deep for narration, or informal as if I were calling a baseball game.
I am not into wacky, loud or rapid-fire delivery but for documentary, business and not for profit projects I offer a sincere, credible delivery that can be emotional or dispassionate as the situation requires.

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

I do a very credible middle-class English accent, a Barry Fitzgerald Irish accent and a smooth Edinburgh Scottish accent. I also do an American Midwest accent.

My Voice Experience

I tend to be "Announcer" voice in commercials that involve mini-dramas. I have done several technical voiceovers for DVDs showcasing construction projects or oil and gas exploration activities to shareholders at corporate annual general meetings.

My Training

I have a BA and Graduate Diploma in Journalism and have completed the Dan Wilmot course in voice acting. I am a former radio newscaster, have acted in national television and radio commercials in Canada, and have extensive experience in community theater.
