Voice Description

I am of Indian descent and I grew up in Southern California since I was three years old. I can make my voice sound authoratative and commanding for serious narrations, happy and friendly for commericials, stories and animation. My voice can even sound "cold blooded" and intimidating for playing bad guys in animation and other kinds of entertainment stories.
I also have a professional and corporate voice having spent some time working in telelvision and radio so it would be perfect for presentations and other professional needs. I also can have a lot of fun and emotion with my voice because I did some play by play for sports while worked in sports television and radio. I can also produce an Indian accent, Spanish accent, Southern California (surfer like) accent, Southern accent, and British accent just to name a few.

My Voice Experience

TV and Radio voicework is my PASSION. I pride myself on being a professional and always doing only the very best I can and then some for my clients. As I said most of my TV and radio experience has been doing news updates, news story voiceovers, and some sports play by play for stations in San Diego, CA (where I grew up) and in Syracuse, NY (where I went to school). Most of my broadcast went immediately on air and the stories I reported on, especially my news magazine piece regarding the NFL, aired on Time Warner Cable in Upstate New York

My Training

Most of my voiceover experience has come simply by working my time in the TV and Radio industry. I did take classes on media performance while attending San Diego City College, I also received additional training while attending the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. I always pushed myself with each story I reported on to give the best voice performance as possible simply because it is one of the critical components to capturing and holding your audience's attention.

Additional Skills

With the world going to a global economy, I think being of Indian descent can also be a strong advantage for my clients. Most people today are trying to reach the largest audience possible and to do that in today's economy one has to go global. Many businesses are focusing their efforts to reach large audiences in countries such as India and China and I think being raised in that culture can certainly help in the presentation and delivery of any voiceover work.

I would also like to emphasize that having worked in television and radio, I also learned the importance of strong writing skills and punctuality. It is important for anyone in this industry to maintain strong writing skills as it is part of trying to reach a targeted audience and to always keep it short and simple.

Lastly, newsrooms and radio stations can get crazy and hectic. My experience has always taught me to always give the best presentation both verbal and written in punctual, diligent and timely manner.
