I started doing voice over work in Denver in 1961 at the tender age of five years old. I did live commercials for radio as well as a number of different voice overs for several different businesses. From restaurants to car dealerships to kid friendly businesses. I've spent thirty years in radio as a newsreporter, host, co-host, producer, creative director and anchor. I was a mobile disc jockey for most of my life. in middle age my voice has never been better. I currently make my living with my voice in politics.
My very first voice over was a commercial for Big Chef Bar-B-Que restaurant. From there I did several voice overs for severl different local businesses. Back in 1961, they were still doing live radio, and I was the voice that did live spots in between performances on KDKO radio.
I've lent my voice to several college projects in the 70's and 80's for Univ. of Nebraska, Nebraska Prison System, and in the 90's and early 2K, for websites. I've signed a non-disclosure with most of those sites so I cannot divulge the names.
I've done several promos for radio stations in Denver that I worked for including KDEN (Denver's oldest radio station), KOSI 101 FM, KOA 850 AM, KLTT 800 AM, KUVO 89.3 FM, Iowa Community College, San Francisco Public Radio, Boulder Public Radio, US Army Recruiting, Talking Books for the Blind, and more.
I graduated from the Columbia School of Broadcasting, I've had several mentors that were braodcasters themselves like Leon "Stormy" Rotman from KBTV (now KUSA Denver).
I've taught braodcasting at Colrado Mountain Community College, and briefly for the now defunct Columbia School.
I've been private voice coach for more than twenty-years.
I am a non-smoker and a non-drinker and a non-drug user. I take good care of my voice and do my best to stay and eat healthy.
I am a past AFTRA Member. I will renew my membership if it is required.
I don't have any studio eqipment anymore, but I am positive that I have access to several studios here in the Denver area for free or at a much reduced cost. Two to three studios would be Public Radio studios, specifically, KUVO Denver and KGNU Boulder.
