My voice is deep and smooth naturally. I can change my voice depending on the character. For a Radio or Television ad, it becomes deep, low, and very professional like that of an announcer. For commercials my voice can be sexy, humorous, serious, light hearted, adventurous, or comedic. My primary language is English. I can comfortably speak character voices from African to British to Hispanic. I do great celebrity impressions such as Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Chris Tucker, Eddie Murphy. I also can do original song parodies similar to Wierd Al Yankovich but with more Heart and Soul.

My Voice Experience

My main experience has been in Radio My voice has been used in sevral commercial recordings in the Tuscaloosa, and Birmingham, AL area. I have performed alot of poetry Readings, and have several published poems. I am currently cast as a lead in the Play, "Jazz ABZ" based on the Book of the same name by Jazz Great Wynton Marsalis. The play begins April 2nd in Chattanooga,TN with another performance April 9th before a Regional Tour, followed hopefully by a National Tour. I have performed in talent competions as a comedian, I did a public service announcement at age 13 with Actor Greg Morris(original Mission Impossible TV series), I was in the independent film "Valley of Lost Souls".

My Training

My professional Voice Over Training came as an apprentice for over 20 years to my Father James E. Whitfield a veteran Radio Announcer of 25 years who has worked in Radio in New Orleans, Muscle Shoals, and Tuscaloosa, AL. He is the brother of the Late Robert Whitfield, a 1984 Grammy Honoree for his contributions to Radio in Philidelphia, PA during the 1960's. My acting training came under the mentorship of Hollywood Veteran of Film and Screen Mr. Michael David Mcguire(One Life To Live, Report to Commissioner, Cheers, Jag, and much much more...).

My formal Degree is a B.S. in Organizational Management from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA. My background professionally has been in Law Enforcement as a State Trooper and Retail Security as an Investigations Manager for the past eleven years. However acting and Voice Overs are my true passion. I have also been a Praise and Worship Leader, Inner City Youth Counselor, and I'm an Ordained Elder at my Home Church Christian Community Church of Tuscaloosa, AL.
