My Voice Experience

A love of the English language led me into journalism and a subsequent career as a professional writer. I have published books (a couple), written scripts (for business and educational videos and DVDs), lectured (amusingly, I hope), and produced scores of brochures and advertisements as well as videos. When budgets have been tight, I have done my own voice overs. For fun I commentate at Horse Shows (very often in the freezing cold; a thoroughly British way to spend a weekend).

My Training

Both gamekeeper and poacher, my abilities as a voice over artist have been learned from the client side: writing scripts and directing videos. Following a career in journalism, where I specialised in rock music, I went into advertising where I specialise in promoting whatever (ethical) comes my way. I enjoy being in the business of communicating. More than enjoy ... I love it. I speak as I write: with enthusiasm, flair and creativity.

My background in advertising and as a writer has brought me into contact with many industries: rock music, computers and technology; education; medical; financial; leisure and travel; wine and spirits.
