I have worked as a professional storyteller for 12 years in Colorado Springs. I tell tales all around the state of Colorado at public libraries, day care centers, schools, and assisted living facilities. I use my voice to bring the characters to life. I create puppet shows and rely upon my voice to create different characters. In some cases, I have over twenty characters in one show and each with a different voice.
Prior to being a professional storyteller, I was featured at the Pikes Peak Library district on Channel 17 in several commercials and voice overs to promote the library.
I was a Radio DJ in College named "Dangerous Denise--heating up the air waves." My show was popular, not because of the music, but because of my sexy, sultry voice. The guys loved my show. I had my show from 1991-1995 at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa. I also helped to create numerous commercials while attending the college.
I teach voice classes to students that focus on accents and how to speak with drama! I have assisted students in Forensics--speech and debate for two years.
Graduated from Morningside College with top honors. Experience with radio, television, and drama.
I have acted in numerous plays and melodramas both in college and present.
Took classes on accents, voice fluctuation, and many classes on acting.
None at this time.
