Medical Training Film English - North American Documentaries Middle Age Female Delivery of edited and finished voice tracks Several years ago, I narrated a project detailing the deadly results of a serious condition called Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome (NMS). When this dangerous condition is not diagnosed immediately or accurately, death can result.
NMS is a little known reaction to neuroleptic drugs that are commonly given for Schizophrenia and similar mental conditions and,too often, the symptoms are not recognized soon enough and the patient dies. This demo is the promo for this project that is being used as a teaching tool for Nurses and Doctors.
One thing. The narrative style...deliberate and less conversational than I would usually use...was specific to the direction of the Producer. We've worked on several projects and he usually has me read as I feel best, but this time, certain words had to fit the visual images exactly. I share this because this narration, to me, sounds a little stilted in places...though, in the end, it was exactly what my Director wanted.
