My Voice Experience

As a concert promoter and entertainer, I am no stranger to the microphone; indeed I have done voiceover work in my daily happenings simply to bypass someone else and save the money! That puts me in an interesting position..and perhaps a light bulb is going on with respect to your own mind as you read this..Yes: I, like you, have been at a point where I have had to 'sell' something...be it a product or an idea, I can appreactiate where you are coming from.

My Training

From the stage I mix humor with solo acoustic guitar prowess. Improvisation is a key component to what I do in that regard and the one notable situation where I do this is during my impression of Stuart McLean of CBC radios' Vinyl Cafe fame. Instead of just banging out an impression, (which btw - is the closest to his you'll ever hear) I ask the audience to yell out any subject that comes to mind - I take the first three and create a narrative on the fly.
In this regard, I may have a suggestion or two on scripts..I write my own often. Hmmm can we regard my info here on v123 as case in point?

I own and run a campground on Loughborough lake near Kingston Ontario. It is the new home for the Canadian Guitar Festival which I founded in 2004.
