My Voice Experience

My experience includes storytelling and narration primarily. As a child and family advocate, I told drug-free stories to school children about a buttefly who failed to reach his goals because he used cigarettes, alcohol and drugs. I dressed up in a butterfly costume and the kids loved the presentation, as I sang songs, read stories and engaged them in conversation about the value of not using drugs.

I also write poetry and do narrations for programs at my church during special occasions. I love speaking, listening and talking to people and helping them believe in themselves, children especially.

My Training

I have a B.S. Degree in English Education from N.C. A&T State University and a Masters in Journalism from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. I've taught in pre-school as well as college at DeVry University.

My primary education in voice over came from a personal coach and classes from local theaters in metro-Atlanta. I have not experienced a lot of work in doing voice over work, but I believe I can step up to the plate and do well when given the opportunity. I'm a good listener and learn quickly. Most of all, I'm very comfortable with people of all races and I make people feel at ease in my presence. I also follow instruction well.

My Studio Equipment

I don't have a lot; a web cam and some voice tape equipment, but am willing to buy the necessary equipment to do a great job for my clients.

Additional Skills

My main quality is persistence, patience and desire to see a project well done to the end. Because I'm a very patient person, very calm and easygoing, people love working with me. They like that I listen to them, respect them and remember their names. I like working with people of all races, colors and creeds. Again, I listen well and try not to pre-judge people before getting to know them personally.
