My Voice Experience

I currently host a Monday morning radio show focusing on community events and issues at KHBL Radio Station in
Hannibal, MO (2003 to present).

For nine years prior to that, I worked for STARadio Quincy, IL (02/95 - 01/03). The last three years of that time, I was the Program/Music Director of KGRC.

I started out producing the morning show for KGRC and worked up to an on-air shift as Deena West which eventually led to the position of Program/Music Director of KGRC, as well as an on-air show daily on KGRC and on WCOY.
*I have considerable experience writing and delivering news stories for broadcast.
*I am very comfortable in dealing with people on a one-to-one basis through the hundreds of live broadcast interviews and phone interviews I have conducted.
*I have years of experience with commercial writing, production and delivery.
*I have voiced the commercial announcements of many businesses in the tri-state area.

The company then downsized and let many of its long-time employees go, of which I was one. I then decided to continue my education and went back to college while working overnights at a domestic violence shelter. I am also the Paranormal Editor for bellaonline, and am working on a manuscript for a publishing company in San Francisco.

In addition to my work experience in radio, I have served an internship as a reporter for the Hannibal Courier-Post Newspaper in 1995.
