My Voice Experience

I am an Award-Winning Radio News Reporter, Voice Talent and Radio Broadcasting Professional with 25+ years
of radio broadcast experience in small and medium market radio.

My expressive vocal delivery is warm, genuine and likable. My trustworthy, authoritative ease is the foundation for my ability to clearly communicate news and special interest reports. From my studio in southern Illinois, I currently record and provide full production of commercials and news reports for local radio stations.

As I complete my history degree at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, I am your perfect choice for museums, documentaries or narration projects.

My Training

I earned an Associate degree in Radio/TV Broadcasting from Wabash Valley College in Mt. Carmel, Illinois in 1983.

In 2008, I went back to school and finished an Associate in Arts degree at John A. Logan College in Carterville, Illinois.

I am currently a student at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale where I am finishing my course work in History. My goal is to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

Additional Skills

In addition to my radio career. . . I have been married to my husband for nearly 25 years, raised two kids, taught Reading, History, Science, Speech, Communications and Bible classes at a private Christian school, and have bred and continue to be a lover of Shetland Sheepdogs.

Music has also been a big part of my life and radio career. I have written several songs and once wrote the words and music for a station jingle while working at a Southern Gospel radio station. I have led worship songs for church congregations and currently lead small group worship sessions with guitar.

Besides radio, my passions are God, family and friends and History. I hope to soon complete my Bachelor's Degree in History that I began at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois.
