Voice Description

My voice has a clear and soothing quality that's warm,friendly and engaging. It's a classic British accent which is ideal for creating feelings of trust, understanding and confidence in the listener. There is enough authority to engender credibility of the material presented without it sounding too 'bossy'

I've worked in the banking, leisure, hotel, cosmetic and wellness and medical industries. I also write and record audio books, and producing corporate promos and trainings. My own "Chill Meditation" podcast series became the World's Number 1 Health download and was in iTunes at Number 1 for some weeks.

For commercials my voice has been described as "warm, clear, alive, trustworthy, fun, persuasive". I can sound sexy in a sophisticated way - and have taken commissions to write and record erotica.

I have a classical theatrical training so can easily to add texture, life and color to text - from menace to passion with a complete range of emotions and moods in between.

I can correctly pronounce French, Italian, Spanish and German words and have some good proficiency in all these languages. This is helpful to clients who may be using translated pieces, as my knowledge of these languages allows me to make translations that are correct in spoken English. My Voice Experience

As an actress and poet I perform regularly and I have developed huge respect and love for the human voice with which we can all transform the everyday word. Ideas become powerful when we engage in using our voice with feeling to describe a range of passions and our needs. I have a long-term business background, with a Master's degree, which is an additional benefit to my business-oriented clients as I have a lot of experience in presenting complex material with confidence and clarity. I also understand the constraints and needs of commerce and how that might affect a project.

My own work - The Chill Meditation series - has now downloaded over 300,000 times making me the U.K.'s number one provider of guided relaxations and, at one time, number One in the USA's health charts. In addition,I am the author and voice of the "Great Confidence for . . . ." series which has been widely acclaimed. I also use 3 studios locally all of which are equipped with a full commercial range of software including CoolEdit Pro: ISDN capabilities and full effects and sound libraries.

I am a freelance creative writer, broadcaster and a student of European languages. I am qualified to teach Yoga and meditation, Reiki healing and I run an African drumming group.

I have special interests in Latin dance, drumming, horseback riding and skiing. I am a qualified chef and have worked in hospitality and travel.

I was a business and personal skills trainer for over 20 years and worked in England and Europe for such clients as Shell, Barclaycard, Hanson Quarry Products, Northern Foods Group - providing communcations auditing, training, recruitment, development and interviewing packages. My Master's dissertation covered the importance and effects of communcating positively within organisations and much of my work after this, was rooted in the learning from that.
