My Voice Experience

I like to tell a story with my voice. You can achieve a particular emotional feeling through audio and many people reference emotions with sounds they hear. If you want them to believe you are a professional company, you have to project a voice that is strong and purposeful, if you are trying to project a relaxing image the voice must be smooth and melodic like chocolate in your mouth, almost sexy but not overtly. I speak on a regular basis giving presentations in the genealogy and affordable housing industry. I teach genealogy at the University of South Florida. When I lived in Miami I did voice overs for a firm that dubbed spanish language programming into English. I was paid for English voice overs of cartoon characters. In College and High School, I was nationally ranked for Oral Interpretation of Literature where I would perform the poetry of Shel Silverstein and the writing of Woody Allen in different comical voices.

My Training

I was educated at Florida State University where I received a BA in Creative Writing. I currently own two companies The Aravot Company LLC for Affordable Housing training and technical assistance and The Ancestry Detective, LLC for Genealogical Speaking and Writing.

I work from a Mac using Garage Band.
