Voice Description
I was always the one called on in class to read aloud. I have a quality that allows me to hear and use inflection in the right places at the right time. In my "day job" I am in pharmaceutical sales so long medical terminology, corporate jargon, and scientific explanations are absolutely no problem for me. At night I transition to bed time stories like Dr Seuss and poems from books like Where The Sidewalk Ends. Unless directed otherwise I have a warm and upbeat voice. You can hear me smile. I also can sound like I am overcome with emotion whether with joy or sorrow. You choose!

My Voice Experience
The first voice over job I ever did was for New Beginning's Adoption Agency. Over a slide show of a birth mother's journey from decision to placement I read a letter to the child I was placing for adoption. It was very tender and emotional. That was in the early to mid 90's and they were so moved by it they still use it to this day! The majority of my work is for radio ad's that air on a national christian radio stations such as onemillionmoms.com and afafilter.com. I also narrated the stations anniversary tribute as we walked through the journey from conception to the national explosion that it it became and all of the struggles and surprises in between! The rest of my work is things like station ID breaks and "Next, on..." type intro's.
My Training
BA in Communications Cum Laud from The University of Memphis. Thespian Troupe 1093. State Champion of the Mississippi Forensics Speech and Debate team. I competed in Prose, Duo Improv Competition, Improv, Persuasive, and Dramatic Duo categories. East Side Players, which is community theater in Cincinnati. Q Hot Fun Girl for Q102 in Cincinnati helping the D.J.'s host the parties around the city such as Grad Night at King's Island, Riverboat Cruises, and Party in The Park at Sawyer Point. And many recordings for a national christian radio station. I also took a community class at The Leisure Learning Institute in Houston, TX on Intro to Voice Overs.
My Studio Equipment
I have Adobe Audition 2.0 on my computer with a radio quality mic. I have not yet been fully trained on the software and how to record and edit but look forward to learning that very soon!
Additional Skills
The producers I have worked for in the past have been very kind in saying that I take direction extremely well. If my 1st read through interpretation is not what they originally heard in their head a quick coaching session and I can usually jump on the same page with out any problem at all. I am very prompt and professional. This type of work is very enjoyable to me and I am honored that anyone would choose me to give them a voice.
