Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects
Northwest American is my home tongue. I can be British, upper class, snooty and stuffy,or earthy and fish-wifey, Scottish, Irish, Australian, Spanish, Russian and a crazy Russian Gypsy. American Southern was a gift from my Momma.
My Voice Experience
I've done voice work and production for radio commercials, for Idavend Broadcasting and Inland N.W.Broadcasting & KRPL out of Lewiston and Moscow ID. I've done on-hold messages (Tax Master), audio for TV spots for KLEW (Grandma's Old Town Cafe), narrated a company-to-community video presentation (Potlatch Co.) in Lewiston ID.
I started in radio in 2000, IN my area two companies own 9 stations so I have done shows and production on rock station 102.5 KRAO FM out of Moscow, ID, the sister stations, country 106.9 KMOK FM. and Hip hop 105.1 KVTY FM. I worked for a sister stations classic rock station,102.9 KVAB FM and an oldies station KOOL 94.1 AM. Great equipment. Great fun. I'm happiest behind a mic, writing copy and doing production, and now I have a studio in my home and Voice123. I'm a very happy girl, or a decrepit old lady, or a sexy Russian gypsy. What does your project need?
My Training
I've learned everything I know about voice work, on the job in radio. In 2000, while working part time running the board for Mariner games, the PD said, "You have great pipes". They have had me behind a mic ever since.
Before that I was a full time mom. 3 boys. And I struggled to finish a start and stop college pursuit. I majored in History and Archeology. A very well educated DJ. I see creative writing as the essence of copywriting. Distill what you want to communicate down to 60 or 30 seconds. The right words, voice and read, and right music and effects can allow your audio to paint a picture. Or add depth and texture to a video. I'm naturally communicative, very expressive. With these years of training and experience I can provide an excellent product for your project.
My Studio Equipment
Cool Edit Pro 2.1, a Shure SM7A mic and simple interface in my small home studio. I have a wide assortment of music beds and sound effects to use in production, and the ability to use any background you would like to supply.
Additional Skills
In college I studied history, anthropology, and archeology. When two deaths occurred in my family I wasn't able to return to school. My part time radio job as a board operator for Mariners baseball games quickly turned into a career that I have thoroughly enjoyed. Im a well educated DJ/Archeologist.
I also had a small and successful sign painting business and three young sons. I can juggle and catch new unexpected things when theyre tossed at me. Im a good and honest, professional person to do business with and I have a great voice. My boys are grown, my equipment is in my home office, and I love doing this work at home.
I'm sure I can do a very good job for your project.
