My experience has primarily been for professional or personal reasons. Professionally, I have delivered presentations to various groups ranging from the Michigan Department of Treasury, Ferris State University and Herman Miller, Inc. on technically-based and customer-driven materials. I am able to interject humor and candor on subject-matter that is generally considered dry or uninteresting.
Personally, I have sang for as long as I can remember and have performed the national anthem at collegiate and semi-professional athletic events (up to about 50,000 people in the stands) and have competed in various singing competitions.
Additionally, I have recorded several songs in a recording studio that range from country to pop and jazz.
I received training via several routes. With my college degree in Business (Ferris State University, Big Rapids, MI 1995-2000), I was required to complete public speaking and interpersonal communications classes and excelled within both. I have personally competed in speech competitions in high school and college that require preparation and extemporaneous skill set.
I can create children's voices, as well as, deepen my voice for more robust female voice work. I can relay character and context well within delivery.
