My Voice Experience

With over a decade in Broadcast radio as air talent I have provided voice over work for a vast variety of different products and services ranging from technical information for such clients as Licking Memorial Hospital, to fun and upbeat delivery for clients such as Petland and The Cheesecake factory to more serious and straightforward deliveries for news casts and public service announcements. Because so few deejays understand the difference between being an announcer talent as opposed to a voice acting talent, I created my own production company-Dragonfire Productions. My Training

I most recently trained in Chicago at Sound Advice with Collen Archer and Kate McClanaghan where I received intensive one on one coaching as well as a group workshop.

I have also trained with Ron Allen and Big Voice Productions where I polished my voice acting skills

I earned BA in Broadcast Communications-Otterbein College-Westerville OH 1989. I also studied music (piano and voice) in high school and college for a total of 6 years of formal vocal instruction. I am currently pursuing a BS in Advertsing through the Art Institute Online-Pittsburgh

Audio Production seminars at the Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, OH in 1987 and 1991-though these programs focused mainly on engineering- it also provided opportunity to to develope voice talent and know how to work the equipment to get the best out of your voice.

I interned at the Media Group Production House Columbus OH in 1989 and had the opportunity to closely observe both sides of the project-the client and the talent- which provided insight for both sides of the coin. From the clients' view point of needing someone who can take the copy and run with it requiring little input from the client, to the voice over talents' view point of being able to quickly interpert what is needed vocally from the the clients description and copy content and, again, quickly delivering strong "reads."
