Voice Description

My voice belies my age as does my laugh. I have a soprano voice with a large singing range which allows me to be very versatile. In addition, I have over twenty-five years of acting experience on the stage. I can sound sultry and seductive, warm, cheerful, persuasive, confident and funny. I have portrayed every kind of character from Mrs. Claus to a soccer mom.
Because of my excellent professional training, I am a quick study and audio producers appreciate my excellent use of their direction.

My Voice Experience

I began my voice over career over twenty-five years ago. However, I've been performing various characters since I was a little girl. A director told me that my strength is that I bring myself to a character, however the character is never an exact copy of myself. My favorite roles are character roles. In particular, I have enjoyed portraying well known characters such as Mrs. Claus and Jack's Mother of Jack in the Beanstalk. However, I'm just as happy voicing a political commercial as one for Burger King.
Recently, my husband and I have moved to Colorado from Missouri. I spent many years working as a voice over talent for Twitchell Audio Productions in Columbia, MO. Since we are new to Colorado and still adapting to our move, I haven't sought out any work here but I do plan to audition for various production companies here as well. I'm pleased to say that I have been hired back by several companies over many years.

My Training

I have a BFA in Theatre, Speech and Drama from Stephens College and an MED from Lesley College. What I have learned about voice over work is through personal experience and many years of working as talent for several advertising and audio production companies.

Additional Skills

I have served as a director/producer for thirty-three years and have directed over 130 plays and musicals. In addition, I have created six youth theatre programs for community theatres and/or schools. I co-developed a national playwriting contest which is still in existence (Jackie White Petit National Playwriting Contest) after twenty-five years.
