Voice Description

I do cats(various voices), dogs(various voices), monsters, mugwumps, teredactyls, birds, etc. I generally have a very sweet voice, and I sing, too. I've been told my laugh is very distinct. People in rooms two doors down can tell me by my laugh! It is quite infectious! I can make my voice squeeky, or very low. LOUD, and very soft. I can be very smooth and professional for presentations too. I've been told I'm VERY good on the phone. I can change directions on a dime!

Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

Ah, the Yiddish accent and various dialects are my specialty! I can moan with the best of them-Oy vey! I can play the intellectual too-which I am. I have several degrees. Then I can play the lady next door, too, very average. Then I can play the snooty one-I imitate them! I can also do an Israeli accent, if asked to. British accents come easily to me as I watch a lot of PBS station programming.

My Voice Experience

I really don't have any professional experience yet. I alway wanted to get into the field, but didn't know how exactly.

My Training

I have a music teaching degree from Northeastern IL University-B.A. Instrumental, grades 6-12, A Bachelor of Hebrew Letters degree from Ann Blitstein Teacher's Institute of the Hebrew Theological College, and a Jewish Music Education Certificate from the Board of Jewish Education. I love to compose music for the piano and flute. I was in a community theater production for some time. I like to write essays too. I have been a substitute teacher with the Chicago Public Schools since 1994.
