Accents, Impersonations, Characters and Dialects

You name it, I can do it! I can do any area of Britain, all European and East European accents (I speak French, German, Spanish and Russian, although I confess they're all a bit rusty!), Australian, New Zealand, Canadian, South African, Jamaican, Asian, New York, LA, Latin American, Texan...I am convincing as a child, a lady of middle age and as an elderly lady.

My Voice Experience

I have voiced several commercials, including Vauxhall Cars, Macdonalds, British Airways, Clairol and Confused.com, and have appeared in many BBC radio shows, sometimes playing several characters in each episode. Providing the voiceover for a TV series about how people holidayed in the 1960's was a lot of fun, and as a former cast member of the British smash hit series "Doctor Who", I am regularly asked to narrate "Doctor Who" audiobooks, for each of which I am called upon to provide at least twenty different character voices. The producer of these audiobooks appreciated my work so much that he now regularly hires me for other narration work!

I am currently enjoying providing the voice of Twinkle the Elephant in a new BBC animation series for children.

My Training

Degree in Russian and a degree in Spanish from Manchester University, UK.

Trained for three years at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) in London, England.

My Studio Equipment

I have access to the studio of a producer friend, who records for the BBC and so has a full range of technical equipment. I'm afraid I know nothing about audio engineering myself, but he is a genius!
