Voice Description

Although I am new to doing voice over work, as a teacher, and an actress I am not new to using my voice to get a message across. I have a voice that ranges from clear and professional for presentations to youthful and fun for commercials. Working with speech and theater students for the past 11 years has taught me the importance of being flexible and willing to approach pieces of writing in a variety of ways.

My Voice Experience

I have been interested in doing voice over work since I was a young girl. While in college I did newscasts for the college radio station,and did live remotes for a local station. Ultimately ended up putting my effort into television news production. I have been involved in community theater since I was in 4th grade, and I continue to hone my skills from the other side of the equation by coaching Forensics, and directing.

My Training

I have degrees in Theater, Communications, and English as well as a teaching certification. In my role as a high school teacher I have participated in many workshops with my students. I have participated in a variety of workshops at our State Theater Festival, as well as in house workshops with Jacob Mills,and actors from American Players Theater.

My Studio Equipment

I am currently using an Audio-Technia 2020 microphone with an ICICLE pre-amp. I am running through Audacity, but I am testing out other software programs.
