I new when I was a young kid that my voice was going to be my career. From the time I was 5 years old, I can remember people telling me how raspy my voice was for such a little girl. I would sing and my voice was bigger than myself.People would always tell me that I had a voice made for radio.I have an ear for sounds, so I was able to train myself to hit notes as high as I could go. I didn't care if I couldn't do the sound right away. I new I would be able to eventually,so I would practice every day on my voice and what sounds I could make with it, until I could hit the notes that I was reaching for.I did it all by ear.
For most my life I have been mainly a singer and I have recorded many songs in professional studios and in home studios. I am not afarid to be infront of people either since mainly I sing, play guitar and perform infront of people all the time.
Here are just to name a few of my experiences. I have been the MC for many different variety shows and promotions, such as the "Bill Engvall" show. I have played roles in musicals. For example I played Sandy in grease. I have been infront of camers on channel 9 morning news to speak about my music. I have been the voice for fundraisers, I also have done commercial spots on radio tours for the DJ's.Last but not least I have recorded in many recording studios and professional studios, such as Sony Tree Studio's in Nashville TN.
I have had much experience behind the microphone my whole life. I am upbeat and outgoing and a quick study when it comes to voices! Give me a shot! I won't let you down :)
I honestly have not done a whole lot in voice-overs in my life time, but it has always been something that I wanted to get into.I have mostly learned my education on my own and by experience with things that I walked into accidently or I had been asked to do from word of mouth. I am a self-taught singer/songwriter/musician. I have been in musical theater since I was a young girl. I have been using my voice as my career since I can remember breathing. I was signed to a record label and moved to Nashville for 3 years to record a country album which was released in 2009. I was on 150 radio stations and on 5 radio tours, in which many of the dj's used my voice for their hometown commercials and broadcasts! Did I mention that I had to do it on the spot with no practice :) I believe in myself and I want to be in the voice industry in every way that I can. I am passionate and ready to lend my voice any time. It is fun and I like to make people happy! Thank you again, all the best... Dayna Lane
I have wave pad sound editor on my home computer and a USB microphone. I use this often to record songs. Though, it is easy to download many programs off the internet. I find them easy to learn as well, since I use my program on a daily basis.
I am self-taught vocally. I also taught myself how to play the guitar at a young age. I do most everything by ear. Since I have had to learn a lot on my own without training and school. I know that I can do anything that I put my mind to. I have learned so much from people along the way that have been in the entertainment business. I have applied it to my life. Not to mention we can learn so much at our figertips with the internet. The world is our oyster! :)
