Voice Description

I've done radio for over 30 years. I'm a former Program Director and spent the last year on the Morning Show. I've won two Best Of Show Addys for my work. My voice is warm and deep, but I can do characters if they're well defined by the copywriter. I do internet real estate presentations now, selling the "sizzle" on the property.

I'm originally from Tennessee, but really don't sound like I'm from anywhere. I do accents really well, thanks to an acting coach I had several years ago.

My Voice Experience

I have extensive experience in radio and in commercial production. I have won numerous Addy awards for my work, including two Best Of Show awards (station promos). I'm very creative when it comes to writing, but I do my best in the studio, when it's just me, the mike and the recording media. My Training

I have a High School diploma from Franklin County High School in Winchester, Tennessee. I spent several months at Motlow State Community College in Tullahoma/Lynchburg, Tennessee. I dropped out of college to go into radio full-time. (Yes, I kick myself in the butt every day for that, but wow, I've had some fun.) I've been to Dan O'Day's P.D. Grad School three times, where I learned so much about radio programming, but my production skills are largely self-taught.

My Studio Equipment

I'm currently using an SM-58, Behringer board and Cool Edit Pro. My computer is a Dell Vostro. I have satellite broadband through Wild Blue. I can hook up just about anything.
